Kadjebi District Assembly Holds Staff Durbar

The Kadjebi District Assembly has held its final Staff Durbar of the year on Wednesday 23rd December  with a call on staff to exhibit the highest form of professionalism and diligence to duty to push the district forward.

This call was made by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Maxwell Kofi Asiedu adding that such behaviour could only go to affect the fortunes of the district positively. He also called on Management and Staff to not see Kadjebi as a work station but to consider it as home and as such work hard to improve upon the living conditions of the citizens. He assured the staff that he would continue to provide leadership in making sure that the Asswmbly continued to hold its enviable accolade as the primus inter pares among districts in the Oti region. he concluded by admonishing staff to hold on to good deeds at all times adding that “God does not eat food but good deeds”.Hon Maxwell Kofi Asiedu, DCE Kadjebi District Assembly

Taking his turn to address the meeting, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Alhassan Sulemana, thanked Staff of the Assembly for the overwhelming support he had enjoyed thus far since assuming office in August and was hopeful same would continue going forward. He called on staff to exchew petty squabbles and disrespect towards constututed authority as that had the tendency to derail staff unity and will eventually affect performance and productivity. he added that it was normal to have disagreements but such disagreements should lead to better output and not be carried over into personal warfare. He continued by advising staff to do away with absenteeism and lateness to work, adding that such behaviour would not be countenanced going forward.

There was open forum where staff were given the opportunity to freely express themselves. The District Planning Officer, Mr. Abdul-Baki Umar, thanked management for their words of encouragement and added that their advice would be taken in good faith.

Mr. Abdul-Razak Bawa, a driver of the Assembly appealed to management to hel[ provide an office accomodation for the drivers as their current place was not conducive for work.
