Some Persons Living with Disability in the Kadjebi District have been supplied with items meant to empower them economically. This is to make them self dependent to be able to take care of themselves and their dependants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was made known by the District Chief Executive for the District Hon Wilson Agbanyo at a short ceremony before the distribution of the items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that this is in line with the President’s vision of creating equal opportunity for all and was hopeful that the items would be put to their intended purpose. He said their names would be given to their various Traditional Authorities to help monitor their progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Alhassan Sulemana in his remarks said this activity had been scheduled for December last year but had to be postponed in order to get the full complements of the items for distribution. He added that more person’s had been earmarked for support and they will receive what is due them at the appropriate time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The District Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development said these items were selected by the beneficiaries themselves and was therefore hopeful that they would put it to good use in order to help them become self sufficient. He added that it was a one-off activity and that beneficiaries will not be considered for support should they waste what has been given them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Items distributed at the event included Deep freezers, bags of rice and sugar, tomato paste among other condiments and groceries <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beneficiaries were delighted to receive the items and pledged to out them to good use. They expressed their gratitude to the DCE and His Excellency the President for keeping them in their thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
