COMMITTEE MEMBERS SWEARING AN OATH OF SECRECY <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n The composition of the committee includes the District Chief Executive who doubles as the Chairman, District Director of Health, District Director of Education, Rep. of CSO in charge of HIV\/AIDS, Representative Nominated by the Christian Group, Representative Nominated by the Federation Of Muslim & Ahmadiyya Missions, Representative from the Traditional Council\/Authority and the District Planning Officer who doubles as the HIV\/AIDS Focal Person Secretary. <\/p>\n\n\n
The Inauguration Meeting commenced at 9:25am with a Christian prayer said by Rev. Paul Winner Kporvi; the Representative nominated by the Christian Groups in the Kadjebi District. This was followed by the Chairman’s Opening Remarks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chairman as part of his opening remarks briefly welcomed all members to the meeting and gave the Regional Technical Coordinator-AC the mandate to give the house an overview of the activities of GAC and the purpose of the meeting\/inauguration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oti Regional Technical Coordinator for GAC, Madam Mary Naa Asheley Anyomi gave a brief presentation on the topic: Mandate And Scope Of District AIDS Committee And Current HIV Status<\/strong>. The presentation touched on key areas such as: Composition of District Aids Committee (DAC), Mandate and Functions of District Committee of the Commission, Tenure of Office of Members, the State of HIV\/AIDS in the District and Oti Region at large, Software used in estimating HIV\/AIDS data and sources of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Committee Members were sworn into office by the District Magistrate, HIS Lordship Eric Fiamordzi. He went ahead to lead them through to swearing the oath of secrecy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the discussions that cropped up during the inauguration\/Meeting, Madam Mary Naa Asheley Anyomi encouraged members to put in their best towards educating the populace about HIV\/AIDS and its prevention since the only NGO currently assisting in HIV\/AIDS education in the region is \u2018Hope for the Future Generation\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
