ADRA GHANA IN COLLABORATION WITH KADJEBI DISTRICT ASSEMBLY PRESENTS START UP KITS TO 43 BENEFICIARIES

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a faith base Non-governmental agency of the SDA church who’s mission is to serve humanity such that all may live as God intends. ADRA, in the past one year has collaborated with the Kadjebi District Assembly to implement a livelihood project for young entrepreneurs in the District.

The project focused on two main areas; vocational skills training and ginger farming. The Forty Three (43) beneficiaries have undergone training for a year and were duly certified by the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI). The beneficiaries were trained in the following skills: hairdressing, dressmaking, baking and confectionery, Vulcanizing, Masonry and Tiling, Carpentry, Glazing, Welding and Fabrication.

In line with the successful graduation and certification of the beneficiaries, ADRA in collaboration with the Kadjebi District Assembly on Wednesday 21st December, 2022 presented startup kits to the 43 benefices.

The startup kits includes the following items; block molding machine, a wheel barrow, spirit level and float, hand trowel, spade and shovel, leather sewing machine/dresher machine , drilling and cutting machine, set of screw drivers and planner machine, HP Laserjet printer MFP M236SDN, HP136A black toner, a Box of A4 sheet, Air compressing, Industrial Sewin and Knittin Machines, Stiffs, various colors of Lenin, Knitten and cone threads, glue gun and stick, African prints, washing basins with sink, salon mirror, plastic chairs, gas oven, cylinder-14.5 litters, cake mixture and doughnut maker machines, weighing scale, cake mixer, flour, yeast, sugar, pasties brushes among others.

The Country Director of ADRA and the DCE pleaded with the Beneficiaries to put these huge investments into good use because it will go a long way to help them gain some form of stability and reduce high dependency on the government for jobs. they were also cautioned not to sell any of the items they have received.
