
The Kadjebi District Assembly convened its Second Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Second Session of the Eighth Assembly on 30th October 2025 at the Assembly Hall. The meeting focused on the presentation and discussion of the 2026 Annual Action Plan 
and Budget. Delivering his Sessional Address titled “Agenda to Harness All Resources,” the District Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Sam-Suraj Issaka highlighted key achievements and ongoing initiatives in governance, security, education, health, sanitation, and finance.
On security, the DCE announced the successful resolution of the longstanding dispute regarding the legitimate Zamarama Chief through collaborative efforts with the District and Regional Security Councils. In terms of infrastructure, the Assembly has completed the CHPS Compound at Menuso and a six-unit classroom block at Kosamba, among other projects.
To boost Internally Generated Funds (IGF), the Assembly has established a revenue task force to enforce property rate collection beginning November 2025. Management also undertook child protection sensitization in seven communities, successfully completed the 97th LEAP payment, and supported 17 Persons With Disabilities (7 females and 10 males) through the PWD Fund.
Additionally, the Assembly launched the District Level Sanitation Day and recorded a successful “My First Day at School” exercise for the 2025/2026 academic year. 
The District Planning Officer, Mr. Gregory Tonozie, presented the 2026 Composite Annual Action Plan, while the Budget Analyst, Mr. Gershion Amedo, delivered a brief on the Composite Budget and fee-fixing resolutions. Members at the end of the presentation moved for the acceptance of the Plan and the Budget as the working document to guide the 2026 implementation year.
The meeting also featured a presentation by the Head of the Oti Regional Narcotics Control Commission on rising drug use in the district and measures to curb the menace.
The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, development, and the collective growth of the Kadjebi District.
