Road Safety has been a major development issue affecting Ghana as a country. As part of setting up measures to curb this problem, MMDAs are obligated to see to it that, town and feeder roads are put to good shape hence reduce the high rates of accidents in the country.
As part of fulfilling the precepts of this initiative, Kadjebi District Assembly has taken upon itself to undertake series of activities to reduce the rate of accidents in the district and the country at large. Road safety activities undertaken by the District Assembly during the period include:
- Radio discussion on Road Safety. on the 5th of November, 2022, a team from DVLA, Hohoe were in the District to renew incenses. The DCE and management took advantage over and requested that, the officials do a radio discussion on Road Safety to help educate the people of the Kadjebi District. The officials Obliged by this request put to them, and did a 45mins discussion at Sankofa Radio.
2. Servicing of street lights on roads: the Assembly on the 15th of December, 2022 procured 133 No. Street light which were fixed in the entire District.
