The Kadjebi District Assembly and UNICEF, Partners in the Community Led Total Sanitation Programme in the district are set to undertake a joint monitoring ogf the activities of the Village Savings and Loans (VSLA) Groups in the district.
The VSLA is a program where members of a community come together to form associations for the purposes of savings of income to be granted as loans among themselves for the construction of household latrines and?or for business purposes.
This was made known by the Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, Mr.Isaac Robson Klu at a meeting to brief the District Coordinating Director,Mr. Alhassan Sulemana, on the impending exercise.
He said the team would visit a total of Six (6) Communities and a total of Eight (8) VSLAs. He added that the exercise will be done within 2 working days that is from Tuesday 25th May to Wednesday 26th May 2021.
