KADJEBI DISTRICT MARKS 66TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT AHAMANSU

Kadjebi District Joins the rest of the Country to mark the 66th Independence Day Celebration at Ahamansu

The celebration was graced by a number of dignitaries. Notable among them are; the member of Parliament for Kadjebi-Akan Constituency, Hon. Engnr. Yao Gomado, the District Chief Executive for Kadjebi District; Hon Wilson Agbanyo, Minister for Culture and Tourism, Republic of Togo; Hon Prefet Wawa, other officials from the republic of Togo (Maire Wawa and Bgadi Nkonya), Chiefs and elders from the town and area councils across the district, directors in charge of departments and directorates in the district, teachers among others.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Our unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose”. This theme is chosen to reinforce the need for unity of purpose and togetherness in our collective quest to rebuild better and get back on track in the midst of global economic downturn.

The DCE; Hon. Wilson Agbanyo in his speech indicated that, Ghana’s independence imposes on us the obligation to work harder to sustain our freedom, and to make our dear nation Ghana strong, prosperous and great. He encouraged the young pupils present to learn without ceasing in order to be well rooted global citizens in today’s globally competitive world.
