Kadjebi District Observes “My First Day at School”

The Kadjebi District Assembly in collaboration with the District Education Directorate has paid a working visit to children attending school for the first time officially dubbed ” my first day at school “.

The purpose of the visit is to motivate first- timers to stay in school through the provision of gifts that appeals to them and educational materials. Items given out to the children include school uniforms, biscuits and kallypo.

Addressing the schools, the DCE; Hon Wilson Agbanyo encouraged teachers and school authorities to strive hard towards discharging their duties in spite of the limited resources faced by the District. He added that, the Assembly is doing its best to continue the supply of basic logistics such as desks, school blocks, computers among others. He further added that, the Assembly is putting resources together to procure some more 300 dual desks to be distributed to schools before end of First Quarter, 2023.

Hon. Wilson Agbanyo also advised the pupils to learn hard in order to become the Medical Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians among others they hope to be. He encouraged them to avoid roaming aimlessly and get glued to their books in other to help improve upon performance across the District.
