
The Kadjebi District Assembly at the course of the year has received funds from the Government of Ghana as District Common Fund Responsiveness Factor Grant allocation towards the cost of construction works going on in the District.
As part of that, the Kadjebi District Assembly intends to apply part of the funds to cover payments for the construction of phase I of the new lorry station sited along the Jasikan – Dodi Papasi Stretch of the Eastern Corridor Road, kadjebi of which handing over of the site took place on Tuesday, 4th October, 2022.
In a statement made by the DCE, Hon. Wilson Agbanyo during the handing over ceremony, he stressed on the need to move the current lorry station from its current location to a wider space. He added that, ‘the current lorry station does not befit the status of a district’s lorry station; its current location now serves as a death trap for both drivers and pedestrians; especially users of the Kadjebi-Asato road’.

The works of the project comprises the construction of 2No. waiting lounge for 20-30 passengers, 2No. ticketing booths, 600square/meters pavements, 20No. seater WC toilet, 2No. urinal, 1No. security Post and fence wall.
The District Assembly is also embarking on this project to help improve upon its revenue mobilization drive and also improve upon the socioeconomic conditions of the District.
