Hon DCE Holds Engagement with Chiefs and Elders of Asato Traditional Area

The Hon District Chief Executive for the Kadjebi District, Wilson Agbanyo has today called on the Chiefs and elders of the Asato Traditional Area on the planned construction of a District Hospital by the government for the people of the Kadjebi District.

The DCE said the visit had become necessary because the consultants were due to start workon the project soon and as such he needed to visit nananom to inform them of the processes and arrangements that had been put in place for the occasion. He added that it was also to afford him the opportunity to apprise himself of the consultative processes that had transpired prior to the release of the land by the chiefs and elders of the Asato Traditional Area, a process he admitted he was not privy to because he was not in Office at the time.

Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Authority, a former DCE of the Kadjebi District and currently the Odikro of Gyamonome, Nana Amoah Nyarko II said they were happy with the call and added that they had planned to call on him earlier when they were told that the projects had been cancelled by the government. He added that it was therefore a good coincidence that he had called on them. He said they were ever ready to support the project since it would bring about development for the people of the area and by extension the whole district.he said the Hon DCE should feel free to call on them anytime the need arose and they would be willing to assist him in anyway they could.

The Hon DCE said any report of termination of the project by the government was false and should be treated as uch. he added that a s the President’s representative in the district, any such decision by government would be communicated to him and added that “as we speak no such information ahs been communicated to me”.
