Ghana Statistical Service holds Two day Training Session for Staff of KADA

The Oti Regional Office of the Ghana Statistical Service has held a two day training workshop for some selected staff of the Kadjebi District Assembly. This is to equip them with the requisite knowledge in a data gathering exercise set to commence soon.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, the Oti regional Statistician,Mr.Henry Loglo, said this was an important exercise meant to collect data specific to the Kadjebi District in areas such as health, Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Governance and Corruption, Environmental health among other sectors.

Mr. Anthony Ankutse, Assistant Director, standing in for the District coordinating Director, said this training was coming at the right time as it would help the district gauge some of the progress made in the last medium term or otherwise. he continued that the selected Officers were all capable and ready to learn and collect the data as required. he added that the Hon DCE ad the DCD had wanted to be part but had to leave on an urgent assignment in Accra and added that he was hopeful they would be back before the end of the training.

The Regional team were made up of the Regional Statistician, Mr.Henry Loglo, the Head of the Environmental Protection Agency,Mr. John Boateng and Ms Dorcas Jagri, an Assistant Budget Analyst at the Budget Unit of the Oti Regional Coordinating Council.

The District team was made up of Officers from the Planning,Budget and Environmental Health Units,Social Welfare and Community Development, Agric,Health, Statistics, Business Advisory Centre and Education Departments.
